Very wide open section from here on out.
Forest Lake knows they are capable of pulling this off.
GR knows Forest Lake is capable of pulling this off.
Should be a great game.

I'm really looking forward to this one. GR has a little more depth and its higher end is a little bit better, and has been a half step ahead of the rest of 7AA since mid-January or so. But, FL has better goaltending and won the regular season meeting, so they know they can beat Rapids. I think both teams are well-coached and have a plan for what they want to do, and this has been a fun mini-rivalry over the years, with Flake generally punching above its weight. We'll see if they can break through and make their first ever 7AA final, or if the experienced hand here can take care of business.

Good first period, shots about 9-9. Rapids with some great chances but Schnabel has been equal to the task.

Rapids goes up 1-0 with 12:28 left in the 2nd period. Dylan Clayton (sp?) with the tally.

Salisbury again making it 3-0 with 3:10 left in the 2nd.

Rapids is 13-0 when scoring three or more goals this season and they've taken over in this game.

Rapids up 3-0 after two, lead in SOG 25-21. Rapids will start the 3rd with 1:53 of power play. Huge hole for Forest Lake. They looked very good in the 1st, then the 2nd period happened.

Statistically, the 2nd period had been Forest Lake's best period this season, but stats don't necessarily predict the future. If Rapids scores on the PP to start the 3rd, this one is over. It might be anyway.

Garski put this one away with 9:51 left in the 3rd. 4-0. Rangers claiming goaltender interference, officials don't agree. F Lake calls timeout, staff still beaking the officials.
