EP put up a good fight, especially in the first period. Feels like once Erickson let in the floater from the blue line, it changed the momentum of the game and Tonka took control. Not sure what happened there, if he just lost sight or what.

Seemed to me he thought the puck was well over the net. Was a rough goal but Tonka just had too many chances in front of the net over and over you could just feel it coming. Was a really physical game but EP not having Pitzl and then Konrad basically being on one leg after that huge block in the 3rd really hurt them down the stretch.

I wasn't able to watch; what happened to Pitzl?

He went hard into the net towards the end of the PL game. He came back in that game clearly still in pain but did not suit up against Tonka. Ribs I heard.

Too bad. Has to be hard being on the bench with Wilmer helpless.

Seems like EP kind of got the most out of what they had, in my opinion. Wasn't always a really successful class coming up through the ranks. Gave Tonka everything they wanted, and I wouldn't have been shocked if they beat Chan had they made it. They have an opportunity the next couple of years.....except it probably will be a "what could have been" scenario with some players staying. Who knows though....maybe RJ wants 1 more crack at it.

8) I'm just going to say there's probably a zero% chance of that despite what the kid may feel. Why not stick around and play HS hockey? No idea but the board has debated this a million times right?

Agree that EP pretty much met expectations. I think most people saw them as a 3 or 4 seed in the section. Definitely had the streaky ups and downs of a young team.

RJ, Konrad, and Peterson are a nice core group for EP next year, if they all stick around, but I have a feeling RJ is going to find the grass greener playing in Michigan. EP needs help on the blue line (100+ GA) and in goal (neither goalie was at or above .900 SV for the season) to be competitive in the Lake.
