4AA possible seedings
Hill
Stillwater
White Bear
Gentry
Roseville
Woodbury
East Ridge
Tartan
Johnson
Moundsview
Other than the top three, I’m sure there’s plenty of reasons to jockey teams up or down. This is just an early guess.
The MSHSL website bracket has 7 playing 8, and 9 playing 10 for the play in games. Shouldn’t it be 7 playing 10, and 8 playing 9?

I agree on the draw for the #7 seed, it should be #10. That's the way it was last year. The higher seed gets the softer draw.
Gentry has no particular claim to the 4 seed. A very early season win against a middling Roseville just doesn't carry much weight.

I agree, I only put them there because of their win loss record. However, I understand it’s against a very weak field.

Re: 4AA possible seedings
I think that the 7 plays 8, 9 plays 10 seeding is correct.
That way, the number one seed will still play the lowest seedied team in the quarterfinals and number two seed will play the second lowest seeded team

Re: 4AA possible seedings
7 plays 10 8 plays 9. You wouldn’t penalize the 7 seed by making them play the 8. Winner of 7/10 plays 2, 8/9 plays 1. Assumption is 7 beats 10.inthetwine wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 7:13 pm I think that the 7 plays 8, 9 plays 10 seeding is correct.

That’s not the way it is listed on the MSHSL website.bardown27 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 7:21 pm7 plays 10 8 plays 9. You wouldn’t penalize the 7 seed by making them play the 8. Re: 4AA possible seedings
8 plays 9
7 plays 10
Not sure which bracket you are looking at but 8A definitely shows that is how it is and it only makes sends.

Yes, I looked it up.
It is wrong and once they stick the names in, I am sure it will get corrected.

Re: 4AA possible seedings
I think 7 plays 8, 9 plays 10 is the correct way. Then you still have the number one seed playing the lowest seed from the initial seedings. If you did it the other way, and seven beats 10, you would have the number one seed playing the seven seed, have the number 2 seed playing eight or nine.

Winner plays 1
7 plays 10
Winner plays 2

4 AA bracket shows it that way
