Thief River and Red Lake Falls are the contestants for #3. they play each other Thursday and presumably the winner will get 3. If RLF loses and loses to Crookston in a later game they could drop.
Crookston should get the 5 spot unless they can beat RLF for the second time this year and then they could argue for the 4 spot.
Detroit Lakes has slid losing the last 3 section games. The 3 games remaining are non-section but winning them could turn some heads but hat is a big IF.

They did it on 2/9/23 by a 4-1 score. Also, are you sure about the score? The Hub and Legacy both show 4-2. Splitting hairs, I understand; it's still a nice win.

Final Score was 5-2 Red Lake Falls

3-2 RLF after two periods

Eagles scored twice early in the 3rd period like 12 seconds in and then again around 6-7 minutes in to make it 5-2 and cruised from there.

Watched this one fun game not sure why it is reported 4-2 it was a 5-2 win.

I was at the first game with Crookston earlier in the season. RLF carried the play and outshot the Pirates by a considerable margin. Great goaltending led to the Pirates win. Should be a very good game. Nice to see RLF playing some meaningful games late in the season.
