7-1 HM final

Hill beats up a Hermantown team that played an OT home game against CDH last night and then had to come down to Aldrich for an afternoon game.

Hill has dominated 2 power A teams to start the season. Tough to read too much into it, given the circumstances around both wins. But they look real good.

Correction, 7-2. Guess the Hawks scored with like a second left in the game

HM is going to be really good this year. They have multiple scorers and the same solid defense. Hermantown did play last night (tied CDH), so they could have been tired, but what I saw was something else. HM has played Hermantown like the last 8 years and its always been either even or Hermantown wins. This is the first time I've seen Hill outclass them. I'm excited to keep watching this team. Shots were lopsided, scoring chances even more so.

The Pioneers' team I thought we'd see last year seems to be here this year.

Uh, that's a pretty low bar for a rebound.

Typically it's taken Hill until about January 4 to score 16 goals. Who are these guys?

And I have to give a grudging hat tip to Hermantown for wanting to end running time, even if it took until 16:59 to do it. The programs with pride will step it up when they are down by 5 (to prevent running time) or 6 (to end RT).
