So basically…. Some people loved him and some people disliked him. This article brings nothing.

It's ironic that he's now not even at STA and based on what others have said, something similar happened there--although it seems to be more around targeted politics to get "their guy" vs. allegations of misconduct, but it continues to happen...
I'm just going to share, and I do not know Coach personally, but this whole direction the landscape of sports is taking in regards to how coaches should and shouldn't be "coaching" or providing mentorship really is disappointing. Parents these days can feel offended that something as simple as a vegetarian option not being available for their child and spin it into mistreatment and misconduct on behalf of the coaches and around and around we go. It's varsity athletics, not day care. A certain expectation comes with being a varsity athlete and believe it or not, it's tough, competitive and sometimes things are said for one reason or another. That does not equate to malice or misconduct all the time so suck it up and deal with the situation in front of you vs. thinking everything is going to be unicorns and roses. I do not condone making athletes feel uncomfortable or targeting that would result in direct harm to a kid, but for Pete's sake toughen up and have a direct conversation with your kid and coach before hitting the AD on speed dial. Believe it or not some (not all) kids nowadays are complete brats and quite frankly, could use some discipline here and there.

Well stated, and yes it seems like when someone's feelings get hurt, you know what hits the fan.headsupsticksdown wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2024 11:59 am It's ironic that he's now not even at STA and based on what others have said, something similar happened there--although it seems to be more around targeted politics to get "their guy" vs. allegations of misconduct, but it continues to happen...
