Anoka comes off a tough loss, Blaine has already beaten Elk River and SSP this year. Should be a good game.

Any idea what happened with the Mayo and Mankato West game? 1-0? I would have thought that Mayo would have won that by 4 or so.

Mayo/Lourdes

West:
A. Has a very good goalie, Jenny Gorny.
B. Has been playing very good hockey since late December; good coaching.
C. Started the game out with a purpose.

Add to that 2 injured forwards and penalties going against them (they only needed a 6th forward once after the 2nd injury in the 2nd period.) In the 3rd period, they began calling hooking & holding on West, and all forwards were back on the ice. Then, Mayo/Lourdes doubled them up on SOG and scored their only goal on a power play. Take nothing away from Mankato West, they could be a factor in the 1A section.
