U17 ever for the girls???

Do you think there ever will be a u17 league for the girls kinda like the guys have now (JR Gold) ?? It would give the girls another place to go..Whats your thoughts???<br><br>Or is there something close to that now out there? <p></p><i></i>

There is a U19 league, well maybe just a collection, right now. EP, WBL and Edina are in it, maybe one more. They play each other and JV as well as some weaker varsity teams. Not sure who has the info on this. The AHA JV played the EP U19 a few weeks back. <p></p><i></i>

Thats great, might be interesting. I'm from Edina so it's worth looking into at some poit next year. But I'm looking at something U17 right now. U19 is a big jump I think. <p></p><i></i>

Nobody is 19, U19 just covers girls too old for U14 and not on Varsity or JV. Edina is one of the few programs that can support U19, they have so many girls and not enough space in the HS program. I believe the EP team is a rainbow team with girls from Maple Grove, BV, EP and perhaps others. I think you will find this perfect. <p></p><i></i>

Coachcorner - <br><br>I don't think there are numbers to support U17. As xk1 said, we have U19 and it's very slow to get growing. Several girls on the Edina U19 team tried out but did not "make" the varsity or JV program at the school. Several others went to U19 rather than high school for a lower commitement level. Yes, thats the plan she will play u14 next year unless something pops up and there is a better way to go. I was just asking if there was any talk about going to something like u17...I think when they lost u15 that was a big loss. I really feel that was a mistake in the long run..Even u16 would be great..Am I the only one that thinks this way? <p></p><i></i>
