Ica, don't get me wrong..I like both players..I was just putting Tiffs name out there..And yes you are right about the scouts. We were at a Blaine game 2 years ago and there was a scout from out east he asked me what number my daugter was and he looked at his sheet and said yea I will be back to watch her she has a few years to go...She was in 8th grade then. I was stunned. He was about 60 years old and a blast to talk with..I will never forget that.

Pretty difficult for me personally to omit Roberts in a top five. Does anybody else see the odds for the continuation of the "tradition" decreasing in light of verbals made to date? <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/eek.gif ALT=":eek"> Or if you prefer, the odds of an end to the "conspiracy" increasing.

Hockeyhead -- I would lay odds you have the correct final 5. After re-reading all the posts and trying to se if I am forgetting anyone, I think you have nailed it. At least 4 will be there, and you may have all 5. Are you on the comittee???!!! Brookyone -- How shocking you would bring up the conspiracy thing AGAIN. Like I stated early you simply cant get off that issue -- its just comical. Here is an idea, come up with something new to rip people with.

This is extremely comical for me brooky as I know you yourself think the consipiracy stuf is a big joke and post such here and on other boards - gotta love being misinterpreted!!! I guess that's the beauty of electronic communication - no inflection or body language to read - you had better start using more emoticons & smiley and stuff so you don't REALLY piss anyone off!

GHS why dont you read the posts a little more slowly as your the one misinterpeting. The point is Brookyone made a big deal ripping people who felt there was a U of M slant when selecting MS Hockey and labelled it a Conspiracy several posts ago. I then backed off that and reiterated my main point of who I felt deserved the award last year. Brooky keeps taking his little shots that we have this ridiculous conspiracy theory and are silly for doing so, despite he is the ONLY one who has referred to it since. I said earlier he couldnt drop it, and I was right, he took another shot. Brooky -- Boy I wonder who the shot was against? Thats ok, like I said, you get disagreed with and you have go back to the conspriacy thing again and deflect it off the point as you dont have anything better to come back with. GHS doesn't need any advice from you regarding post interpretation. He interprets my posts for more accurately than you. You're the one with post interpretation issues. You go right on ahead wondering who my "shot" was directed towards. That should keep you well occupied...since the "shot" only exists in your imagination. Yeah because I was saying he misinterpreted your post. Obviously I was referring to my post being misinterpreted. Once again, you choose to put a spin on your post and deflect from what you were saying because you have nothing else to come back with. I bet not too many people ever argue with you.

If anyone reads the USCHO board (not this one), or if anyone can read this board closely (some are missing the sarcasm, etc.) - you'd see that brooky keeps referenceing the "Conspiracy" as he thinks its a total joke. That's not a misinterpretation issue - that's a fact. As far as me misinterpreting anyone's posts... and that being evident in my responses - maybe I need to start writing at a third grade level people. I am mature enough to have a discussion and disgree with people without trying to make them look stupid. P.S. You know what you can do with your "3rd grade level comment". Real nice coming from a varsity coach, especially when the comment its self is assinine as clearly your not the one reading the posts and understanding the posts. Yes your right I just didnt get the sarcasm in the conspiracy point. Please tell me a head varsity coach doesnt actually believe that I didnt get the sarcasm in the conspiracy point, and please tell me you dont seriously believe that in reading all my posts you cant figure out that is exactly why I pointed it out. Yeah, I really jumped on him. What a complete crock. This is another perfect example of trying to turn what I said into something it isnt. Its called defending myself, and refusing to allow someone to spin something that isnt there. Keep trying though. And lets be perfectly clear with "what my issues are". My issue is I dont care for someone who when having a discussion or argument, isnt man enough to just provide their side without trying to spin the first persons opinion into something it isnt. Secondly, I dont care for someone very smugly later on coming off as some high and mightly authority who is better than other people and needs to defend someone. The arrogance is sickening. Here is an idea. State your opinions, try to refute the others argument using facts/stats etc, and do it without spinning the other persons view. This whole issue is completely laughable.

It is indeed amazing that I'm a head varsity coach - amazing the people they hire for these poisitions - isn't it? I agree with all you said. You have a good handle on all of this. I obviously don't know what I'm talking about, and I obviously lack the basic comprehension skills that others have mastered so well. My most sincere appologies. It's hard for me to follow all this deflection, sarcasm, reading between the lines, spins, attacks, etc. From now on I defer to mnhockeygal to speak for me on all topics.

You get called on something, and dont care for that so you respond with completely mocking and dismissing what was said and trying to make that person look like an idiot. Real professional way of dealing with things. I am not going to go down to that level of making a mockery of this board and respond with such sarcastic childish comments. If you have a problem with my defending myself, then so be it. It wont change. All my faults, which are many, dont include not being able to have a disagreement with someone and feel compelled to mock them.

Fire with fire... No - the silly little antics don't always work - that's why I have a co-head coach (thank goodness). You didn't think they'd let me coach alone did you?!?! But seriously... Also, while I post a lot here, I don't need to "win" an argument - as opinion is opinion. I have mine, you yours, and everyone their own. See, sometimes people agree, sometimes they don't, and sometimes if they've made their point they can leave it at that - and can even agree to disagree. I back up my posts with facts and my point of view - that's enough for me. A long while back - I think I spoke of the concept of opinion (based on facts), and agreeing to disagree - especialy relative to Ms. Hockey selections of last year. If we want to debate debate tactics and discuss maturity - let's talk about the way that every message you write employs some sort of deragatory comment about someone or something - usually in the first line or two. If you're all about the "facts" and not antics - stick to those when you "argue" to "win." Usually taking shots at someone personally isn't the best way to begin a successful campaign to get them to agree with you!

I just think this is getting WAY out of control. I don't want any ill will, and truly I think you have some very valid points about something that we're all very passionate about. That doesn't mean though that we have to make everyone else agree with us if they don't agree! Philosophically, I guess I would just hope that we can recognize when we agree, disagree, etc. and leave it at that once we've made our points based on the facts we used to support our OPINIONS! It may be - and I could be wrong - or it appears that - the big target on the Packers back was transfered to yours when you jumped on here and were a big supporter. That's not right if it was the case (that you were prematurely targeted), and I do agree that the SSP team, the 3, etc. are great. I highly doubt that we'll see another team of that caliber for a long time, but there are still a lot of great players in the organization - and I know that we're looking forward to another few very challenging games this coming year. If you're out at any of the games, maybe we can talk and bury the hatchet! I'm really not that bad of a guy (I don't think???)!
