Re: Class A Rankings
Breck loses all five of its D1 commits to transfer or graduation. It loses 84% of its goalscoring production (48 of 57 scored) and 78% of its points (109 of 140 points) from 2020-21. They have 1 returning rising senior skater, and 8 total skaters returning.
Read that again. Breck returns 9 goals and 31 points from 2020-21.
What does it say about the state of single A hockey that this team could sniff anywhere near the top 10 of anyone's hypothetical rankings? My scalding hot take - this team will be lucky to win 8 games this year.
Re: Class A Rankings
Breck maybe was able to get some new players with the new coach.
Re: Class A Rankings
But JG2112, isn't that Breck rising senior skater an "Elite League" player?
Re: Class A Rankings
Moosepaw I see you have River Lakes in your top 10. And of course the age old arguement that P/H and Breck should be AA came up. In figuring out what schools make up the River Lakes team I was kind of confused how they got put into single A. When I add up the enrollment numbers of the 7 schools that make up River Lakes they have a combined enrollment of 4,786. Not to pick on River Lakes but that is 4 times the enrollment of P/H and 10 times the enrollment at Breck. I have no compassion for either of those teams but does anyone know the reason?
My top 5:
1. Chisago Lakes
2/3/4/5/6. Orono or Warroad or M/W or SSP or P/H - depends on the day.
