I'm wondering where Hermantown and Gentry would rank in AA this year. Both would be top 10 surely, maybe even top 5. Gentry's game against Blake might be the only indicator we get.

The Hermantown game vs GR on 02/11 should give a glimpse into where the Hawks could fit into AA.

By the way, Hermantown is 7-0, outscoring their opponents 67-3, outshooting them 423-60, an average per game of 60-8.

Certainly, I more meant it as I already know that Hermantown would be a top AA team, but it will be interesting to see where Gentry fits. Hermantown/Rapids should be a doozie but I'd give the edge to Herm.

This is exactly what I needed today. The sad thing is, you're almost definitely right. We can dance around with all the numbers and analysis we want, but it really is this easy. I think regular season games are almost more interesting then most Sections and definitely State Quarterfinals these days because there's some really great AA vs. A matchups.

Wow, those are comically bad. Breck was just coming off of the loss to Providence, and having them up at 7 the previous week is highly questionable. I have no idea how Cathedral could even be considered for the top 20. It seems like the LPH rankings are way too “sticky” and they don’t want to admit when they are wrong on teams.

Breck hard to put them in top 20 let alone top 10.
AC wings top 20 ok but #9?
MEast is fine but perhaps MWest should be closer to them.
St Paul Johnson - really?
Litch is fin but then where is Hutch?
Cathedral - we all are having a hard time believing they have fallen but yet they have,
Northern Lakes okay byt more like 19 or 20
And of course Northfield and Owatonna.

And some people take this as gospel.

Lots of things can happen, but at this juncture it looks like the Class A championship game will boil down to:

Hermantown vs. Gentry Academy

(not going too far out on a limb with this prediction)
So, if this match-up should materialize, and obviously things could happen that would derail either or both teams making it to that final game, but assuming that they do, which team - given what we know now - would win?

Yeah, I have watched about 15 minutes of Hermantown to see everything I need.

Gentry is outscoring opponents 50-5 in 5 games (10-1 avg) and outshooting them 262-55 (52.4 to 11.0).
