Lourdes / STA

Post by blackeye »

Someone should keep a running total this year of the number of posts by these kids / about these teams. Is there a team out there that loves to talk about themselves more than these two teams. Many teams have fans that post about their teams, but these kids love to talk about themselves.

I'm going to miss Cam always telling us what a great goalie he is...... What IM team is he playing on this year??

hockeyfever im pretty sure that when you lose 7-1, you are not the better team no matter how many excuses you make. Johnny wasn't going to score six goals in the first game so that excuse is bs anyway

Wow how can you even argue that a 7-1 game was close. Any time a high school team wins by 3 or more goals it is a blowout and im pretty sure 7-1 is double that. Also the reason the second game might have been so close is because Century was probaly looking for an easy win after dominating the first

no i doubt that.... they knew that albert lea would be fired up after their first outcome... plus all of albert lea was at the game supporting them.... it was closer.... but to say AL was better that RC last year is a wrong statement.......
and for proof that Lourdes was not better than century, look at the score of the lourdes albert lea game....

How can you say Zach Owens wont work hard? The kid is huge and playing physical is a big part of his game. I played with him last year in Elite 2 and he was one of, if not the hardest working kids on the team.

Losing Amunson is addition by subtraction as far as JM is concerned, good luck dealing with him.

Lourdes was 2-4 against 1A teams last year, I doubt they'd rather be in that section, no wins (0-4) against the top 3 seeds.

About 5 years ago you could have made an argument Lourdes was the best team in Rochester, now they're third or fourth. They just don't have the depth, that's why they're in A. Heck they choose who they will co-op with just to keep in A.

Haskins probably has the toughest job of any of the hockey coaches in Rochester, the external pressure has to be amazing.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... oldy313 at: 10/25/05 10:29 pm

Yea so i think we can all agree that Lourdes is a joke! All they will ever be is that overated team from Rochester that picks up players that have only proven they know how to lose, and the place where rich parents love to brag about there kids while at the same time predict state championships. I truly feel bad for the person that would consider let alone make that kind of comment. (Lets just hope he was not sober at the time)

There is a group of kids from our the citie area, not all members of the Blades, but they are getting together and playing players from the Rochester area, mostly seniors I believe on Sunday Morning. It should be a great game to watch.

there is no reason bahnamen should even be in the elite league. i saw the tryout and he looked horrible didnt even touch the puck. its politics in hockey at its finest. bahnamen had he stayed at ccentury he wouldnt have had solid playing last year he maybe would have been a third liner.

Bahnemann

Post by spanky »

I can assure you, from knowing the kid and the family, politics did NOT play a role in Brandon Bahnemann making the Elite League. However, from watching many years of tryouts for Selects, plus Elite and Elite II, I can assure you that there are many average players playing hockey at levels beyond their skills because of their size. Most coaches drool because of 6 FT or 175+ with a pair of skates. I'm not saying Bahnemann isn't skilled, because I don't know his stats from the Elite League this year, but did the Elite League evaluators see his size? Of course.
