HS Hockey Podcast (Episode 12)

Post by YouthHockeyHub »

Big show this week, we build a couple Mt. Rushmores of MN Hockey...do some picks and make an apology or two. Very fun show to cut today. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it.

Now I know what the Eagles felt like after cut Hotel California. It's a classic.

Centennial/Edina game podcast discussion

By the way, the "really tall kid" you refer to in the Centennial/Edina game is Matt Jennrich. Great kid. No, he's not mine.

Great show!

Danny gave a great blow by blow recap of the HF/Tonka game, which I missed in order to see the UMD SCSU Northstar Cup final.

Hard to disagree on the lists of Minnesota hockey legends!

How about a segment on best HS hockey rink venues, past/present/future?
Danny covered perhaps the top rink in this weeks segment, but would be interesting to see which are the top 10 consensus of rinks.

Hey, I was there. I did not see you which was difficult not to with the slim crowd.
Turned out to be a good game despite not being one early on.

Great show this week guys always fun to listen to! Tony what happened you said in this weeks show Breck is clearly the second best team in class A. I thought you had Delano picked to come out of that section? Just curious when and why you jumped ship not saying it is a bad call. I'm not going to sell out on Delano yet myself! Danny really like your call on John Bianchi he truly has a deep passion for high school hockey in Minnesota. Liked the new twist of the Mount Rushmore idea hopefully see more new things added to the show in the upcoming weeks!

Nah, it's something which should be done just for the love of doing it. Rather like accounting. :P

I moved Delano to #3 after their loss to Holy Family and saw Breck 3-4 times in late December and January to think that Breck is #2.

I am secretly cheering for Delano because I believe that state tournaments are good for hockey growth in a community. Not cheering against Breck, by any means. They got a great team of players that work really hard - this year's team is really fun to watch.
