Wyatt Newpower commits to UCONN

White Bear Lake defenseman Wyatt Newpower announced on Twitter last night that he will be playing his college hockey at Connecticut. The plan is for him to be on campus this fall instead of playing juniors. Congrats to Wyatt!

Good for Wyatt! My guess is he will be a good D1 player, despite his High School coaching.

Did he not want to spend a year or two in juniors and jumped at the chance of going in now?

Wyatt has played in all 3 games this season. And looks like he made the right choice, skipping JR's!!!
He keeps it up, he may skip 4yrs at UCONN.
Great to see a Mn kid playing solid hockey Out East.
