Nothing new under the sun

Post by packerboy »

All right boys and girls, I dont want to start any big arguments but we now have an Elite League and an Elite II league.

AS I UNDERSTAND IT, The Elite II league is, generally , for underclassmen who are probably JV/3rd line varsity; and the Elite league is for the top Varsity players.

Both leagues play in the late Summer/ early Fall. They attempt to be "Footbal friendly" and exist to get kids ready for the season and give them more games.

Didnt we already have that?

We used to call them the Fall leagues. There were 2 leagues. I think one was called the Midwest hockey league and I forget the other one. Maybe there was more than 2. But one was for the JV type and the other for the experienced top notch hogh schol players.

How is what we have now much different?
