Now I am certain that they will get the #2 seed behind Luverne. That would be the best matchup for the Section 3A title.

Seeding prediction
1. Luverne only section loss to RWV
2. Litch only section Loss to Luverne
3. Hutch Swept by Litch and Blown out by Luverne
4. RWV beat Marshall and New Ulm in their most recent meetings.
5. New Ulm Beat Willmar 11-4 also Tied and beat Marshall
6. Willmar Didn't Lose to anyone beneath them, didn't beat anyone above them.
7. Marshall Lost to all the teams above them, Beat Redwood the first meeting
8. Windom Beat All four teams beneath them.
9. Fairmont Swept Morris and Worthington
10. Morris Only 2 Wins VS Worthington
11. Worthington 22 Straight Losses
I could see RWV getting as high as three, but the beginning of their season was Awful. Really hurt them. They also split with New Ulm, Marshall, and Luverne Winning the most recent meeting in all of them. If RWV didnt have the Luverne win I don't think they would have earned the 4 seed.
Hutch buried Marshall New Ulm and Windom, So they get the nod over RWV in my opinion.
I really don't see how it could be any different than listed above. The arguments are pretty concrete.
So, Playoff games:
Luverne Will Host Windom or Fairmont.
RWV Will Host New Ulm
LDC will host Marshall or Morris
Hutch Will host Willmar or Worthington
Super Saturday at the GAC sets up a rematch with Luverne and RWV. Also a third meeting between Hutch with LDC.
1. Luverne only section loss to RWV
2. Litch only section Loss to Luverne
3. Hutch Swept by Litch and Blown out by Luverne

Can't argue with the prediction, but keep in mind the coaches vote on section seedings. So bottom teams are going to likely seed higher the teams they feel like they have a better shot at beating. Wouldn't be surprised to see 4-7 in an order that makes no sense to the onlooker.

However, all Luverne's losses except 1 are 1 point losses.
They've been competitive in every game. The teams they've lost to have been competitive with some of the state's best.
I do not think Luverne will get a 5 seed.
Also, Goldy, I get what your saying about coaches manipulating seeds. Any lick of common sense will result in my prediction.
In fact the coaches may not need to meet Wednesday. notTONIGHT's got it covered....

We're just happy you have returned from the abyss to grace us with your top tier predictions. I had heard that the dial-up in Luverne was on the fritz with all the weather lately so I've just been patiently waiting.

Very big...even if the top seeds get upset in 7, 2, 6, 4, or 8, each of those sections has at least one more team ranked higher than Luverne, and those teams would get added credit for pulling off an impressive upset in sections. Luverne would, however, be a noticeably more difficult draw than the 1A or 5A rep for one unlucky top 3 team.elliott70 wrote:So they need an upset. So your first thought after Luverne scored was to look at STREMCHA?? If you really want I can get you his phone number I'm sure. Redwood benefited from Luverne winning. Hockey 101. Trolling 101 we can go over tomorrow.Whiner33 wrote:Stremcha flipping off a Luverne kid after scoring a goal in Marshall tonight what a tool! Congrats Redwood!

Goldy knows all things, he has been trying to repair the shovel that was broken after The Red Army lost to the STREMCHA CLAN a few weeks ago. Goldy had an event to be at but I'm guessing the shovel isn't why rollcardsroll lost.Whiner33 wrote:I'm just saying it's showing how classy of an individual he is! Stremcha scored a goal for Marshall? This I missed.Whiner33 wrote:Stremcha flipping off a Luverne kid after scoring a goal in Marshall tonight what a tool! Congrats Redwood!
What I didn't miss was an awesome 2nd period display over a span of just a few minutes. Hockey 101 indeed. Marshall kids moved their feet in the 1st period to keep it to 1-0 (and led in shots 11-8 ), but came out for the 2nd period flat-footed again, just like in the LDC game. The Cards put on a passing display for the Tigers.
Running time in the 3rd.
Just think it's cute of Joe to give a kid the bird in the game! Nice work Joe glad you're the Head coach of such a salty Redwood falls program! Good thing you need a bodyguard to go with you to a high school game! We all know you're a gamer!Teak wrote:Stremcha scored a goal for Marshall? Anyone else find it ironic that whiner and the Luverne folk are quick to point of classless acts? I guess the old adage is true; it takes one to know one.Whiner33 wrote:I'm just saying it's showing how classy of an individual he is! Its a pretty big accusation. After the second goal Luverne scored the players on the ice performed a celly near the spot Coach Stremcha was standing with his Redwood Players. This is when the bird was offered to the celebrating Cardinals. Full Disclosure: I didn't see it, but the Luverne coaching staff and several other parents and fans did.
I can't imagine the backlash if the Luverne coach did something like this.

Well said Mitchell! You should know as a player for this tool! You both should be right at the top of your list! 1 and 2!Bettman's Bender wrote:Anyone else find it ironic that whiner and the Luverne folk are quick to point of classless acts? I'm guessing that over the years, the players/parents have done enough to warrant his behavior. If you want them to be coddled, play soccer!!notTONIGHT wrote:Its a pretty big accusation.
