Trebil / AHA

Post by Knowlze »

Trebil does have a great thing going, and I think he can coach. However, Its a little hard to give him or AHA too much credit though. Certainly takes a lot of pressure off when you have fresh talent coming each year.

For the most part, the publics have got to play with the next class of kids, not always talented, quite a bit more challenging. Generally, am much more impressed wth coaching at Centennial, WBL, Eastview, Apple Valley, Jefferson, to name a few.

You have to give Trebil a lot of credit, because he takes this "fresh" talent and creates a team and wins. Most associations have their talent move as a class and have played with other classes. I give them all credit.
________________________________
2005 GIRLS STATE CHAMPS!
2002 & 2005 BOYS STATE CHAMPS!!
GO STARS!!

Is Roseau (1999) the last team to win the class AA state tourney with all Roseau kids? Everyone of them played squirts, Pee Wee's and Bantam in Roseau. Now thats an accomplishment.

I think it's safe to assume that Roseau was probably the only team to win with all Roseau kids.

Just to add to Puckster's list of recent previous AA state champs that were "home grown" (pretty impressive for the boys of the northern suburbs):

2000 - Blaine
2001 - Elk River (? 100% home grown!)
2003 - Anoka
2004 - Centennial

I do not like to discuss AHA hockey during the summer months, but from what I have seen already, a couple of the JV boys have taken it to the next step. It is so hard to say right now. They are in the camp and not all the players are there. I do know that Cameron Cooper is on his way to Europe with the US U18 team for a couple of weeks. Bryan Brutlag has bulked and grown. Look for Nate Hansen and Jake Gullikson to step in and do the job. We will have to wait and see.....
________________________________
2005 GIRLS STATE CHAMPS!
2002 & 2005 BOYS STATE CHAMPS!!
GO STARS!!

AHA

Oh yeah Trebil sure is a great coach, errr i mean a great recruiter of acdemic talent for AHA. That's why most of these great players are ging there, right? Congrats Jay, nice work, and to all you other great AHA academic talents keep up the good work! One prediction for the next few years... Look for Trebil to possibly drop dead on the bench from all his years of healthy living. Great influence!

Now we are taking shots at the academic talents of the boys. Some people have no knowledge of what they are talking about. Yes the boys of the AHA team are academic talent as well as athletic talent. The 2005 team for the third trimester at AHA had 3 players in the High Honors group, and 7 players and 1 Mgr in the Honors group. That was for only 1/3 of the school year. The time has come to put it to rest people.
Thanks,
________________________________
2005 GIRLS STATE CHAMPS!
2002 & 2005 BOYS STATE CHAMPS!!
GO STARS!!

zamman...you rear your hockey head out of hibernation and the snipers are all over you. your right about waiting on setting up the roster...at least until mid-november. anything can happen in the next three months.

The only thing that pisses me off with people like squatingdeer (wow) is that they come on here and in there 1st or 9th whatever post write something that has been said thousands of times before. Sorry buddy but your stab at humor has been repeated over and over. Ahh, and Im out.
Oh yeah, congrats Jay!
