I don't know where the Beers family lives. I tell you what, you Luverne-haters have got to come up with better comebacks than that.
I get down Luverne way about only once a year. Hard for me to keep track of the farm families going to school there. And I have to know where every farm is located?? Sheesh, give me a break!
Very telling quote in that article: The trio of Ryan Johnson, Cam Fa_gerlee and Hentges leads the Eagles in scoring. The three have been playing together for years, dating back to youth hockey at Irondale.
Maybe a better matchup would have been public school Luverne versus public school Irondale. What was the name of the Totino-Grace team:
I wouldn't put too much emphasis on this loss. Games like this better prepare outstate public schools for the eventual run-in with Metro privates.

What part of town does the Beers boy live in?
Where is the town of Totino-Grace? I got out my map of Minnesota, but I can't find it.
Here in out-state Minnesota ("there be monsters here"), schools have co-op programs in order to get numbers and provide an opportunity for students from smaller schools to participate in a sport that their own small local high school does not provide.
Beers? I have found beers all over the southwestern part of the state.
News Flash: On the schedule today at Lockwood Motors Ice Arena in Marshall, MN, is the game Hutchinson versus Luverne. Is that true? Will I have to drive down to Marshall to find out?
If true, that would keep Hutch's record of NEVER visiting Luverne intact.
Didn't answer the question. Seems there's always an excuse when the Cards come to town.
Mom works at the school, and dad for a business in town. I know exactly where they live, if you really want their address, I can find out for you.

Hutch got their butts kicked. Refs called it close and fair. When Hutch did have the man advantage, they were kept bottled up in their own end by an effective Luverne forecheck.
Well, let's see: Smedsrud 5 goals and 2 assists; Nelson a goal and 4 assists; Kruse 2 goals. That first line was cooking. With Hutch down this year, it looks like Luverne will be number 1 seed and either Litchfield/DC or New Ulm the number 2 seed.
BTW, thanks Hutch for making Marshall "home ice" for Luverne on this matchup. I got the scoop from some Hutch hockey parents. It was worth the trip for me.

And the shot totals were something like 46-20. Hutch goalie actually isn't too bad. Coaches need to teach their defensemen (and back-checkers) not to leave Smedsrud wide open about 10-15 feet away dead center in front of the goalie.

What was the "scoop" from the Hutch parents? All I've heard is Luverne is just to far of a drive. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Apparently there was no love lost between the Hutch coach and the former Luverne coach, now up in St. Cloud, and the Hutch coach said basically we're never going to Luverne to play. Doubt that coaches do the team scheduling; methinks the athletic directors get together to do that, but certainly a coach can be influential.
The parents did say that the Hutch bantams and pee wees go down to Luverne occasionally. There is also the attitude that Hutch plays most of their conference opponents within an hour drive and Luverne is non-conference albeit within the same section. Anyway, it was great for me because Marshall is a closer drive than either Hutch and Luverne and I got to see what would normally be a good matchup. But, again, Hutch is down this year talent-wise.
