TRF, grand rapids had 2 teams, Cloquet, Greenway, Hibbing, Wilmar, and Duluth Marshal...
TRF took the tournament beating Marshall 6-4 in championship i believe.

Anyone from CEC go up? How bout some opinions? Maybe JLS81 was there. Also, did Forney play for TRF or is he going to transfer to Sioux Falls?

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p074.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... >wild77 at: 7/17/05 10:20 pm

Thanks JLS 81, although that goes against some things I have read here and presumed myself. I would think that would mean that the Clarks are heading to TRF and Jay will be playing in the USHL before and after the high school season. Forney will be playing in the USHL in the same manner apparently. Anyone know one way or another?

TRF

Wild77,
I know some families from TRF so personally it would be really nice to see a club like that make it all the way to state from section 8 single A, as it is always good to see new faces in the A and AA tourney. Personally I am not all too happy with kids having to move in from other programs in order to get the club "over the top" so to speak. Be that as it may TRF sounds to be pretty solid coming into next year, of course there is still a 25 game schedule to play plus playoffs so folks let me make it clear I am NOT stating the 8A title is a lock for TRF by any means.

grand rapids tourney

I spoke to several people this weekend in GR and they say that Forney is staying and playing in TRF and that the Clark boys, while a nice prize to catch, only are skating with the team for the weekend. Dad says that Jay is heading for Indianapolis for this year and finishing his senior year there and playing for the Ice. Johnny is staying in Baudette for this year and hopefully all goes well. A talented group of guys...I wonder what TRF would do with the brothers playing for them???? Any thoughts?

zoz73,
Thanks for the information, interesting the Clark boys would play this weekend. I heard they did pretty darn good. How did Cloquet and Rapids look this past weekend?

Rapids and TRF was probably one of the better games of the tournament, didn't get to see cloquet, but marshall played well throughout the tournament while only having 10-12 skaters.
