I'm sure he wants to coach boys hockey. LN and LS both have a lot of talent and both have solid youth programs.

i believe he teaches business ed.

i would think he could have the cretin boys job anytime he wants it, he would just have to say so.

Think there is a lot more potential upside at Lakeville South then CDH. Especially if they can pluck kids from LN. Both very good youth programs/numbers, lots of elite underclass talent at LS in Olsen, Ess, Knoepke, etc. A name like Johnny Pohl is what LS is going to need to prevent LN from continuing to dominate.

Whether he is or not, IMO isn't entirely relevant at this point. A name like his would stop the hemorrhaging over at LS, which they are in desperate need of right now.

Contract was "not renewed." Anyone from that area have any details? Parents? Seeems odd the year they make the state tourney, he's not renewed.

It would seem odd if the situation with the Spring Lake Park coach was that he was not asked back. I don't know if that was the case or not and have no inside info, but this is posted on their youth association website:

"Congratulations Spring Lake Park High School Boys Coaching Staff

Congratulations to Spring Lake Park Boys Hockey Head Coach Tom Benson for being named the 2015 John Mariucci Award winner as the Class A Coach of the Year. Tom was also recognized as the Section 5A Coach of the Year by the Minnesota Hockey Coaches Association.

Congratulations to Dave Turbitt, Spring Lake Park Boys Assistant Coach as well for being named Section 5A Assistant Coach of the Year by the Minnesota Hockey Coaches Association."

What kind of coaching experience does Johnny P have besides helping out at CDH, you would think LS would want someone with a little more experience then JP leading there team. Ya I get it, 4 years at UofM a few yrs of minors and a few years of pro's, but I would still want someone on the bench with a few years of coaching in there background. A known name does not equal a good coach.

Is Ryan Kraft totally out of the picture for the South head coaching position?

I think anything would be better than what they had. They will make a good hire after all they have been through over there. They won't mess this one up.

He's been the head girls coach the past couple of years. Not just helping out.

If Ryan Kraft gets the North Bantam AA Coaching position, watch out for North in the coming years!!!!! Current Coach has not been very successful at developing kids and has not done a very good job.... in my opinion. Would be a great hire if indeed Ryan became the Bantam AA Coach for North!!

Holy cow I need a coaching gig like that. Average AA bantam coach makes between $2,500 - $5,000 for the winter season so I would not think there is an association out there paying $25K. If this is true how much does the high school coach make. I know at the association I coached in the past they would not pay more than they paid the high school coach at the youth level so the AA bantam coach made roughly around $3,000 not 100% since I did not coach at that level.

It was a joke. Assuming the LN job is paid at the standard the rest of the youth jobs out there in other associations are.
