I've got some mixed feelings about yhh selling internet broadcasts of squirt level games. One one hand its cool and nice that relatives can see from a distance and it's a service so someones gotta pay for it, etc., on the other, who owns the right to just broadcast my kid without permission, and make money on it. At school and other places parents sign a waiver to give permission to use their kids' image. It's a little weird, and defenitely feeds right into the hands of those psychotic hockey parent egos.
Anyone?

In four years we have yet to have a parent ask that their son or daughter's name be removed. In fact, the response is quite the opposite. The demand for us to broadcast games is beyond what we can fulfill.
It is our policy to respect those wishes if it were to be an issue. If a parent or player does not want their image shown on our site via the live stream, we would be happy to break down our equipment.

Maybe not. This isn't a new question, see the Ed O'Bannon case for parallels. Yes on a much smaller scale, but there are similar arguments it seems.Ref22 wrote:You sound like a "me" parent.dlow wrote:I've got some mixed feelings about yhh selling internet broadcasts of squirt level games. One has nothing to do with the other. Sorry. Youth Hockey Hub is not going to have to share the billions of dollars of revenues it generates off the backs of hard-working 9 year old hockey players.silentbutdeadly3139 wrote:Maybe not. That's cool. I guess its just me, but I cant image anyone wanting to watch squirts online unless its grandma and grandpa (maybe that's a big audience though).YouthHockeyHub wrote:In four years we have yet to have a parent ask that their son or daughter's name be removed.
