Re: herb brooks
Here's to the greatest Minnesota sports hero of all time.

A couple gems:

--"You can beat Stan Laurel, can't you?"
--"This team isn't talented enough to win on talent alone."
--"You were born to be a player. You were meant to be here."

Brooks
I dont think there is anyone who represented minnesota and our hockey like Herb Brooks did. He will be truly missed. He meant so much to all of us and I hope his story will live on and be told for a long time. It is hard to describe how big of a loss this is but I am proud to say that I am proud to have had him as a Minnesotan and thank him for everything he did for minnesota and our Country. We will miss you Herbie!

Sad Day for Hockey
This is the biggest loss since we lost Badger Bob. When I heard today what had happened, I felt like I was kicked in the stomach. Herb Brooks is the reason I love hockey as much as I do, and I feel as if I lost a member of my own family.

Herb.......Thank you for all you did for the game, for Minnesota, and for young people everywhere. You will be missed.

Herb
What a terrible loss for the Brooks family and all of Minnesota.

I was fortunate enough to know Herb since the time when I was a toddler. My father and Herb were teammates in college. My heart and prayers go out to the family.

I, for one felt a deep sense of sadness when I heard the news.

Even us "Fighting Sioux" fans realize what Herb Brooks meant to not only Minnesota hockey ... but also NHL, Olympic, NCAA and International play.

I hope he's upstairs with the almighty, playing the game he loved so much with John Mariucci and those other great ambassadors to the game of hockey.

<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/pimp.gif ALT=":hat"> - "God bless his soul!"

Videoscout,
Great comments. Herbie went too early in life. May we all appreciate every single day we get on this earth. May Coach Brooks legacy and unfortunate tragic loss renew each of our commitment to life and also this great game.
