Perfect records

Post by hockeydad »

I've done this on the boys side the last few years, and I thought I'd start a similar topic over here

We're a little more than a month into the season and there are just four unbeaten/untied teams left in the state, two in Class A and two in Class AA. Since two of these teams are in the same conference, we know at least one of these teams will not go through the season unscathed. Who do you think will be the last one standing with a perfect record?

Red Wing
Thief River Falls
Minnetonka
Hopkins

Red Wing. Much easier schedule then the other three.

Certainly not Tonka or Hopkins - way too tough in Lake conference plus wicked non-conference schedule for at least Tonka. Don't know enough about TRF's schedule, but Red Wing looks strong with an easy schedule to boot, so I'll agree with JB.

If you're talking going undefeated in just the regular season, I would also say Red Wing has the best shot at it. But their next two games won't be easy, vs. Chaska/Chanhassen and Blake. In the New Hope Tournament they could face Armstrong/Cooper, then later on they have another game vs. Chaska/Chanhassen.

TRF also has a decent chance to go unbeaten in the regular season, but East Grand Forks and Warroad may have other ideas. And although they'll be favored, North Wright County and Roseau could also spring an upset.

CC over RW 5-4 . CC's Passolt with 3 or 4 points.

Congrats to Chaska/Chan on their big win! Might we have a new No. 1 in Class A next week?

OOPS is right! I should have shut my mouth for one more day. Suprising upset with Red Wing. Good for Chaska/Chanhassen. I know they have some good players and a tough schedule. They are probably better then people give them credit for.

So, if I can try again I will say TRF. They have the next "easiest" schedule although EGF and them will be a dog fight. Love to see that one.

JB, did you just jinx TRF, too? :?
