Just posted a story on Shattuck's hockey teams summarizing opening weekend games for the Prep team, the U16 team, and the U14 team. I also added a summary of their Midget AAA team that played a strong game against a Texas team. It can be read at:
http://www.youthhockeyhub.com/will-shat ... -them-all/
Last season, St. Thomas Academy and Benilde-St. Margaret's beat the Sabres Prep team in regular season play. That Sabre team lost the the chance to be a three time USA U18 National Champions when they lost in the National Tourney played in Pittsburgh.
In April, 2014 all three National tourneys (U18, U16, and U14) will be played in Green Bay. All three Shattuck teams should be in those tourneys.
Will Shattuck win them all?

Re: Will Shattuck win them all?
Explain to me how you think any of them WON'T be at Nationals?... since they have a free pass! They have to win exactly NONE, ZERO, ZIP, Nada games to qualify for "Nationals"....frederick61 wrote:Just posted a story on Shattuck's hockey teams summarizing opening weekend games for the Prep team, the U16 team, and the U14 team. Pretty sure Team Wisconsin will have teams there too... as they get a free pass as well...

Allow me to help you out a bit here in your lack of Hockey knowledge... You can't "dethrone" a team that has a free pass into Nationals.MoreCowBell wrote:Take em on if you want to dethrone them.
To CLARIFY the point for you, I was simply asking Frederick to explain his use of the word "Should", as apparently he's unaware too. Of course SSM "Should" be in all levels of the Nationals Tournament as they all get a free pass into it!
I'm not bagging on SSM, actually I think they have the cat by the tail in this deal. However, I do believe it's bogus that so many good Central District teams actually have to PLAY themselves into the Tourney, when there's two completely automatic bids given. The "Host location" bid is bogus too. JMO.

Actually my hockey knowledge is quite vast. Team Wisconsin and teams out east only play in the fall and spring and they break up to play for their repective High School teams, they come back in the spring to compete for the national title, Minnesota could do this also, if the powers would get their heads out of their a$$.

Understanding what a "Split" program is constitutes a vast knowledge? Uhh..., OK.MoreCowBell wrote:Actually my hockey knowledge is quite vast. I'm not in Luverne Sherlock, and your Metro-bred comments toward a small town MN program pretty much explain all I need to know about you. At least I know you can read so I guess there still is SOME hope for the Public School system.MoreCowBell wrote:You must be the smartest hockey person in Luverne, a real hockey hotbed.fastncrash wrote:Understanding what a "Split" program is constitutes a vast knowledge? My College roommate's son plays in Luverne.
