Chuck Grillo chases his dream

Post by YouthHockeyHub »

While up in Brainerd this Summer, I got a chance to meet the living legend, Chuck Grillo. It was a special couple hours to hear his story. I could have sat there for hours.

I went here as a kid, too.

I'm old enough to say Herb Brooks was there. So was his son Danny.

Got this reply today from Chuck Grillo in response to our recent article:

Tony,

Thanks for the nice article on your website. I tried to comment on it but had trouble logging in... I am a novice @ social media compared to most.

I find it amazing that I can trace a successful career in both High School and the NHL back to a group of U-20 players who did well enough to get me notoriety and keep my career and dreams alive and well. The debt can never be repaid. Thanks to the thousands I owe while teaching, coaching and owning MHC. And an even bigger thanks to Clairene, our six kids and my parents for allowing me to "live my life. There is no equal to a couple who empower each other to "live their lives" so each can have Peace of Mind; something for all aspiring athletes, and those with other dreams, to consider when choosing a mate.

With respect and gratitude,

Chuck Grillo
