Bo, you listed a link on page 3, printed on page 4, of the 227 MNs to play in NHL. 10 of 227 are listed as Edina. That's 4.4%.
Edina population is 48k. MN population is 5.3M. That's .9%.
About 1300 kids are in the mega Edina association. About 50k kids in all of MNh. That's 2.6%.
So Edina is outperforming the general population by 400% and the state hockey population by 70%. Feel free to continue your work to help Edina get better, I'm not shedding a tear for them.

Are there communities that will have even better numbers? Sure, and those will be smaller communities. Viking, Alberta (pop 1000) has had a number of NHLers. Is that due to their special development sauce or could it be that the 6 Sutter brothers just happened to live there? Smaller sample sizes will have more extremes.

Don't let claims that Edina is underachieving trouble you any more. Take heart that you now have more than the banners in the west and south for your defense.
