Ice Edge

Post by goaliedad31 »

The Ice Edge AAA program has multiple levels (Black, Blue, Orange, Bandits) but they also have levels within the levels. So the blue team, for example, has 30 skaters and then they split them up in an invite and open team. Do other AAA teams do this. It seems like they lure you into a higher team but really have 5-6 levels instead of 2-3. I understand all AAA is a money grab but is this normal? Seems like they are trying to lure everyone in under the notion that Johnny is so good just to sign up 3-4 more teams.

We skated with Ice Edge in the past, but have switched. One of the things we like about AAA is getting away from association politics. Ice Edge seems to be full of it which is why I think their teams struggle. A lot of favoritism and then they would be left with pairing Squirt A kids with B2 kids. Unfortunately like you, I got the sense that this AAA program is more about the money than putting winning teams on the ice.

No, I think you are thinking the Edge. I'm talking about Ice Edge - skates mostly out of Eden Prairie
