USA Hockey recently sent out an email about a team at Shattuck winning their age group national championship. I don't recall the reasoning but why doesn't MN Hockey participate in the USA Hockey national championships?
Besides the obvious prestige I read the host city for USA Hockey championships brings in millions in tourist dollars. Why is MN passing all this up?
With MN Made affiliating with the AAU we have 3 major groups in MN holding some type of championships...AAU, MN Hockey state championships and US Hockey National Championships (minus most of MN).
Amateur hockey seems to be splintering. Any thoughts?
