YHH Squirtacular Championship Game Recap

Post by YouthHockeyHub »

One of the best games I've seen all year. Two great teams, playing at their best in front of a nearly packed house at BIG on Sunday.

Enjoy (I did),

Here is the recap for the B title game between North Branch and Edina. Lots of great stories from this North Branch team this year. Besides needing a city built rink and a little hubub in Hermantown...the most important story is the glut of great hockey players they have at the Squirt level.

Great to hear about N.B. City build ice is tough to come by. We [FL] had to do ours thru private lenders. Some cities refuse to invest in youth.

OG: Yes, for all those communities with 2-3 rinks, thank your lucky stars that you have them. Cities like North Branch are having a hard time getting 1.

A Rosemount dad submitted a video of the final game. He did a really nice job FF through and getting all of the highlights. It's a fun watch.

Thanks! Really enjoying this. I watched the first two clips = all of the 1st period. Crazy finish with the goal moments after the horn. It is awesome that you spliced out the stoppages! (The YouTube equivalent of underlining passages of a book for a long bus trip.)
