anyone see games, I watched 1A/AA 2A/AA OT game. 2A/AA won in OT and a very fast paced game. Looked like a couple others were heading to blow outs but ended up being close at the end.

I do believe they announce a team from the Great 8 that is selected to play again in a senior showcase?? In some years past it was held in Chicago.
Now in Plymouth. Does anyone know if they have announced the team??

They have not been announced but the list is out and players have been notified. If I can get my hands on the list I will post. Otherwise, I am sure things will trickle out pretty quick on this.

Numerous players do not put their name in the hat because of conflicts with other spring sports or events like senior trip or prom. Good for these kids but not making hockey everything in life. Still should be a very good team.

Is playing in the Great 8 a requirement to making this team?
Or, will we see the politics fired up and players named to the senior showcase that didn't participate in the Great 8?

I think they all played at least in one game but politics certainly coming in to play no different from any other year/event with the final 20 selections.

Question - why do they have the Great 8 at Wakota anyway? It makes sense to have at the same site as the 18s for scouts and planning purposes but the parking is a joke, the #2 arena is poor and the coordination is always lacking?

Agree with that 100% - love Wakota for HS games but a different venue with better parking/ambience would be nice.
