Fargo Pin Contest

Post by YouthHockeyHub »

Each year I write a story on the pins that get hauled in from all over North America and do a bracketology of the best pins. All in fun.

Enjoy,

You guys must have been like me and are suffering from a post-Fargo hangover when you picked your brackets. Omaha???? The best pins in Fargo were the WBL Squirt A pins, the ones with the outline of the state and the kids names dangling off it. Classy looking pin. There were many others I could have picked as well.

Our team had a good run in the tourney. When we were at Scheels during one of the championship games the last minute trading was still pretty heavy. A kid came up to my son and was so happy to trade. Said he had been trying to get our team pin the whole tournament as it was one of the hot ones with his friends.

Most repeated line of the weekend, "So is there anything like this (another Fargo International) when we are Pee Wee's next year?"

Sounds like a great idea to me.

Great event. A definite highlight for any young player.

Not having been there and choosing them by pictures is a challenge compared to seeing the real thing.

That being said, the article is more for fun than to be taken seriously at all.

Pssst. We always pick an out of state team...they usually don't make our publication often and rarely do any of the out of state teams hit the 2-0 bracket...so we try to throw them a bone by choosing their pins.

I liked a lot of the pins this year.

The Minnesota pin I liked the best was Fergus Falls. Had we gotten a good photo of that, they may have won (super simple angry otter).
