What are some games that you think could be major upsets that no one is talking about?

Yeah, there's a good reason why nobody is talking about that potential upset.

Not an upset in my opinion. Game would be championship and they are 1, 2 seeds... They had close games this year.

I think it wouldn't necessarily qualify at Bramar or Dakota!...But on the big ice at Mariucci with Edina's team speed, I can't expect that they'd be anything less than prohibitive favorites.

I give Andover more than a fighter's chance to beat Elk River - Perry being the wildcard.

I could possibly see Tech take down Moorhead or Andover upsetting Elk River and then Grand Rapids

#7 Century vs #2 Mayo; intracity games can be unpredictable.

#7 Chanhassen vs # 2 Prior Lake; PL's offensive troubles could bite them.

#7 Red Wing vs #2 West; Missota vs Big Nine playoff games have gone the Missota's way lately in 1A.

#6 Roseville and #6 Andover have a decent chance in my opinion as well.

In 3A, #1 Luverne over #2 New Ulm. I know that a #1 seed is expected to win, but to hear the Luverne slaggers over in the 3A forum, you would expect a Luverne win to be an upset.

Mounds View over Hill-Murray in the 4AA semis.

Mind you, I don't believe that'll happen, but if it did, It'd be huge.

MV has size and could cause some problems for HM. IF MV or Still try to skate with HM, they will struggle. I suspect both teams will opt to try to slow HM down and pick their spots when they can. Stranger things have happened!

Everygame from here on out is a possible upset...it's why they play the game. Every team should be going on the ice expecting to win regardless of school size, recruiting efforts, history...

and Ive got a feeling that anyone in section 7AA has that same feeling... 7AA with all the rivalries and ups and downs this season, with all top 4 teams being in close games and pretty evenly matched for the most part, this could be pretty tight section games all around

If chan stays out of the box and out battles PL and have great goaltending it is very possible

8A: #5 Kittson Central over #4 Crookston in Crookston. Crookston won 5-4 in OT back in December when these teams met. If Kittson can generate some offense, say 20 shots, and their tender plays lights out like he did against EGF, Kittson takes this one 5-3 with an ENG.

Also hearing a growing murmur that people are leaning Warroad over Thief River Falls. Not sure how I feel on that one yet, to me it is 5 good Warroad players against TRF's best 5, both can beat each other. Probably goaltending will be the difference and I would lean TRF on that.

I'm thinking this too. I'm going out on a crazy whacked out limb and say they go the way of another private school:

-Defending State Champion
-A top ranked team, but lose in section semis year after winning title
-The next year, will be upset in section final while being a heavy favorite
-Will lose to a SW suburban power the next three consecutive years in the section semis
-Won't get past the section quarters after that
