Andover at Wayzata, Thurs. 11/29/12

An intriguing match-up: 6AA vs. 7AA, an experienced squad without a whole lot of top-end talent versus a young one with a lot of it, and great goaltending on both sides. Who wins?

Trojan Upset? Not..

Post by Wallyworld »

Wayzata surprised me in the second game of the Turkey Trot last weekend against Edina. Very quick, slippery, talented young forwards (bigger ice sheet added room to operate.) However, I did notice that despite the quickness and nice playmaking, they had trouble finishing against Edina. So with Chase in nets it could be another frustrating night for the Trojans... 4-1 Andover.. Shots much closer than score..

After the close game with Rosemount I am confused about how good Wayzata is, maybe Rosemount stepped it up this year. Either way, I look forward to the result of the matchup with Andover.

This should be a good game. I think Wayzata still to much depth for Andover to handle. close - but i see it 4 - 2 Trojens.

No luck with the live stream, but the Hub reports it's 1-1 after 1, shots 10-5 in favor of Andover.

Hub seems locked at 5:30 of the second. Still 1-1
After watching Andover a couple of times last year I was really excited about their up side. Lots of fast, hard working young kids!

Yeah, if only. Sounds like exactly the sort of game you'd expect out of these two teams. They'll probably be ranked very close to each other next week.
