Bantam A/AA Tryout Scrimmage

Post by LowLight21 »

I'm looking for a Bantam A and Bantam AA team who would be available and interested in a closed scrimmage (no parents) on 10/27 or 10/28. This scrimmage would be free to the visitor, as we will be paying for the ice and officials. Please PM me if you are interested and available.

Isn't it a little late for a bantam tryout? Almost every association is already done with tryouts or in the process right now. What's up in Woodbury. I heard that some of the top PeeWees aren't even trying out for the AA team because of "issues" with the coach.

There are still quite a few associations doing tryouts and could still be potentially looking for scrimmages. Edina, Wayzata, Eden Prairie...all still in tryout process.

Clearly you have some sort of grudge with Woodbury but i don't think the coach was looking for your sort of response. But it was a good attempt to stur the pot.

We have bird season, deer season, harvest season, football (fall sport) season. Plenty of time for hockey when hockey season comes.

I like it. Football is #1 at our house. It dosen't seem to make any difference you guys still have tons of great players. Maybe thats the way to do it. Let the kids finish football first.

We found an association to scrimmage on Saturday, but we're still looking for a Bantam A scrimmage on Sunday evening. Please PM me if you are interested and available.

Association Hockey should be a November through end of March sport in Minnesota.

Never understood the rush to end the regular season in early Feb and most teams done by late Feb.

Not a whole lot going on indoors or outdoors in MN in March. Select type series and AAA can ramp up in April ...

Don't Regions and state tournaments run in March than Super Series/Elite Classic run later March than AAA cranks up in Apri as it is? But agree, association hockey should start later in the metro.

Obviously starting later has to work in EGF if you look at how their BA team did last year. :)

Growing up I remember duck hunting over MEA with kids from EDINA who were hockey players but had the time off or didn't start til later October. It's a bit sad as I doubt there aren't any city kids duck hunting with hockey ties. Yes, times change. Too bad as this duck hunting season has been phenomenal. Anyways, good to see kids up north out hunting or doing other fall activities outside hockey.
