NAHL junior hockey and hp hockey games from the Super Rink
First game story from the showcase at the Super Rink. The game matched the Texas Tornados against the Fresno Monsters. Five players from Minnesota played in the game. Will have more stories in the next few days. This one can be read at:

The top picture on the story shows a real unique goal. If you click on the picture, you should get a full screen version. Note the puck in the back of the net.

Here is a High Performance Hockey League game story Sunday from the Super Rink. It can be read at

Note that this is the High Performance Hockey League second year of play. They have six teams in the league. The league is founded on the USA Hockey ADM and Long Term Athlete Development recommendations that include age specific development.

My point was if "age specific" translates to "common competitive level at a given age" and you end up with only 6 teams willing to play each other in the USA (or in a significant part of the USA) at the top level, how does that foster the growth of hockey in the USA. And it is part of USA Hockey policy?
Wasn't there also a "prospects tournament" at the Super Rink along with the NAHL and HPHL showcases that was running this past weekend and that included the best AAA U16 (aka midget minor) teams in the country, or some of the best? Any stories on that one as well?frederick61 wrote:Here is a High Performance Hockey League game story Sunday from the Super Rink. It can be read at
