Centennial needs to work on their shooting. Aside from that they deserved this one.

2 evenly matched teams. Intereting to see Jefferson for the first time this season. They're good, not great, and GR won't be outmatched on the 7th. That should be a close game. Of the games I've watched it looks like anyone in the top 20 could win it all.

BJ the better team? Centennial seemed to really control the tempo in the 3rd and OT. Seems like Jefferson will have trouble if a team can keep Levine in check.

OK final score 3-2. But who won? What were the final shots?
I heard the shots were 12-3 Centennial after 1.

Centennial won. I don't know the shots. BJ dominated the first 2 and then Centennial picked up in the 3rd and ot.

how can you say jefferson outplayed centennial, when they were being totally dominated on shots and puck control the first two?? you must be a jefferson fan, and a biased one at that!!

I'm not a Jefferson fan at all. From what I saw Jefferson was the better team in the first two. They were up 2-0 so you can't say that they were not the better team.

actually yes you can when you look at scoring chances and goaltending! you must not play hockey if you can't see who the better team is.

yeah I must not. I guess going to the State Tournament three years in a row isn't playing hockey.

Centennial had more high quality scoring chances. Also, when the game was tight if BJ was the better team they would have found a way to hold on. Poor defensive coverage in their own end lost the game.

Yeah I don't play you hit the nail on the head. Check the books look back and see what teams have made it to state at least three years in a row.

Not to gang up on you GoGopher, but no way was BJ better. Centennial dominated most of the game, but did not capitalize until the end of their power play. That seemed to get them going.

That being said, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I do like Anthony LaPanta's commentary about The slow start to the game, "Too much turkey and christmas cookies".

Go Chiefs!

Lets see... Irondale went 3 yrs in a row - but then again no way would a Knight ever see Jefferson get the better half of anyone.

I thought VanGilder looked great. His goals were nice.
Jefferson on the otherhand, I thought looked a little off. First time this year to see them play. Centennial dominated the game with their shots, Jefferson capitalized on them. Goalie for Jefferson looked great. Centennial was good at the forecheck and just took them longer to bury the puck. Should be a fun game tomorrow.
________________________________
Academy of Holy Angels
2005 GIRLS STATE CHAMPS!
2002 & 2005 BOYS STATE CHAMPS!!
GO STARS!!

Centennial will take AHA to the woodshed in the semifinal tilt. VanGilder is the real deal and so are the Cougars.

yes vangilder is the real deal, he knows what to do when he gets the puck. i may be biased since i am a fan of centennial but they have to talent to win it all this year. it may be a long shot but with Aus as coach and Jack Hanna as a goltender whos been getting better as the season has been going, they have a shot at the championship.
