Girl's summer hockey birthyear?
Has anyone heard if most summer programs are going to single birthyear for girl's next summer?
Organizations moved to that model in the last few years so they don't have to find 5-6-7 new players each season as some of the players become to old. Pick a single birthyear team and keep them together for 3-4 years. One idea has them playing open division the first year of the new level and then moving to invite level the second year.
It makes a lot of sense to do summer hockey as the boys have with single birthyear as the number of girls that can play at a high level is growing really fast.
