What are people's experiences with the Select 15's, 16's & 17's? Last year we did the 15's and it was poorly ran out of our district (district 11). This year we were hoping for a better experience and it has been the same. Poor communication to say the least. I see all the section teams have been announced with the exception of section 7. I don't know if whole process is poorly ran or just our experience with section 7?

They are trying to fill your roster

Just sit back, kick the feet up, and enjoy life. From what I have heard you are low on numbers up there. Therefore, they try to fill with kids interested from other sections that got cut.

Just didn't know what others experiences were and didn't know if we were different. i know the select 15's was poorly handled and coached and this turned some quality kids off. Oh well. I agree, time to sit back and watch some hockey.

I have found that people's experience is varied based on expectations. If you are looking for player development, and a chance to become an olympian you will surely be disappointed. If you are looking for a few extra weekends of ice, and chance to play in the spring festival which is some decent hockey with players from surrounding areas, and is adequately scouted event then you will be happy. My advice is to enjoy the hockey, and don't get to wrapped up in the evaluations and who advances as that portion of the process is all subjective.
