Backyard Rink Size?

Post by Sunsetcliffs98 »

I was thinking about putting in a concrete patio/sport court that could be flooded in the winter. The spot we like to put it without removing trees or taking too much space would be about 26'x38'. Is this a big enough area to be worthwhile flooding for a small rink?

I think it is worth it, it's almost 1000 sq ft. If you have kids, that will be a good size for 2X2 games up to about 9-10 years old...

My backyard rink is 22' x 34' and is plenty big for my two boys to skate, shoot and play 1 on 1, another 4 feet both directions and I could see 2 on 2 being played with ease
