On Wednesday, Scarlet Ice pushed past the Sports Illustrated brand to reach No. 1 among hockey titles on Amazon.com.
Scarlet Ice is the story of the 1994-95 Mankato West Scarlets hockey team, and John Janavaras, a 15-year-old sophomore on the team who tragically died during a meningitis outbreak that struck the team and the Mankato community.
During this week's state high school tournament, Scarlet Ice author Roger Dier visited with Joe Schmidt about the compelling Minnesota high school hockey story.
