BSM vs Lakeville South Friday 3/9 8pm

Post by RickyTicky »

South coming off huge upset of #1 DE and BSM with an upset of Edina. Should be another good one. Who wins?

Benilde's the best team left in the winner's bracket. I say Benilde wins 5-1.

The pastor sees all and knows all and with that being said BSM 2-1 rolling into a BSM vs Hill Murray final!

Have to go with Lakeville South pulling another upset 4-3.

Would like to see them bury some of the chances they missed against DE but if they have another effort like they had tonight both offensively and defensively.. I like South 4-2

Just like East I think this can turn into a game Lakeville Can win. If they get it going up and down like they did with East anything is possible. A couple of there defensemen specifically Ocken and Freemark are very good at moving the puck up the ice in a rush. Also, Kloos gets way more room to maneuver when its a race horse style game cuz you just can't keep track of that line.

If Benilde can turn it into a slow possession style game they will win. South's weaknesses are very blatant when they get stuck in their zone for awhile. If Benilde can do that I don't see Lakeville doing well.

I hope south does well but I think Benilde wins big in this one,

5-2

if this is a "wide open" game... I have to think it will favor BSM. Edina had them on the ropes several times because they didn't give BSM much room on the ice. When they do have room to skate... well... ask 'Tonka about that.

Also, the hardest game to win... is after winning a major upset game. LS just pulled off one of the biggest upsets in recent tourny history, sorry but next will be the "let down" game.

BSM wins 5-2 (it'll be a decent game still.)

I agree with Zamboni, after such an emotional upset it is tough to come back the next night with the same emotion and energy. I hope the thrill of the big stage will bring out the best of LS again tonight. They are the first Lakeville team to ever make to the Semi's and if they can bring the same emotion, energy and game plan as they did against DE I think they will continue to make Lakeville hockey history

I got BSM, look for their 3rd line to produce a little bit more tonight. Also I got Besse having a hat trick.

"Lakeville South, you just upset #1 ranked and #1 seeded Duluth East! RickyTicky, what are you doing next?!"

RickyTicky: "I'm going to disneyworld baby!!!!"

RT, you had to have wet your pants with excitement last night seeing your man crush Kloos on the big stage and pulling out that upset hah?!

Mrs. Ticky hasn't got this type of attention in years! In all seriousness, I'm just messing with you man and I'll be the first to say congrats on the W.

I too think they have a legitimate chance at beating BSM. Should be a good friday night session. LS is just pesky and they keep games close and they are always within striking distance. With that being said, they have the Kloos factor who, when South keeps it close has the potential to strike at anytime and beat teams.

I'll take it easy on ya! BTW, where in the world did the Witala kid come from?! I saw them play a lot this year and he was definitely the best kid on their 2nd line, but wow did he play a game last night! Nanne was saying his dad played at Wisconsin and in the show for a bit too? Wasn't aware of his bloodlines. Also, Gagness (sp?) looked really good last night and I never really noticed him previously.

Witala really did step up his game last night.. he is a good little player but always seemed to struggle with finishing around the net so it was good to see him bury that one in the 3rd. His dad, Marty, played at Wiscony and was D partners with Chelios back in the day.. Met him once or twice, nice guy. I think a lot of kids stepped up their games last night.. Overall, very impressed but they will need it again tonight to beat a good BSM team

Probably a bit much, yeah, but her listening to you rave about the game for five hours may not be the attention she had in mind. :P

LS could lose this one, but after last night I would hope ALL would agree if they come to play with their "A" game, they'll give anybody a test. They are NOT a one player team. I think Freemark, Schumacher, Wiitala, Harvey, Lauderdale and the rest of their squad proved that last night. Anyway, can't wait for the puck to drop and see how it turns out. Should be fun.

I don't think Kloos will let that happen. LS may lose, but I don't think it'll be because they have a "let down". I'm pretty sure he came back to LS this year for just this kind of opportunity. As I've said earlier, time to drop the puck and see what happens. Good luck to both squads.

Tom Klein, the assistant coach for Benilde, didn't he used to be head coach at Tonka?
