When I played back in the day for the possibility of a state tournamnet bid, I played my A__ off. Come on Stillwater, have some heart. I guess it's on to 2013 . Come on Ponies!!! Pioneers ruled the night. Another very disapointing Pony ending.Monsterbuck1 wrote:CONSPIRACY THEORY - Stillwater closed school today to get the team extra rest. I think this favors hill if Stillwater is closed. The hill boys will have had structure all day and been active, while the stillwater boys might be laying around all day and have to get up for the game. I give the nod to hill 5-1

First time poster, sorry to go negative right off the bat.....Please do your High School and association a favor Mr Housley and resign! Obviously your players are not responding to your lack of communication and your lack of ability to continue the development of good to very good youth players. They will continue to leave for Juniors or other schools. The AD will never support your firing so just step aside now, move to warmer weather and let us get on with our quest to someday play at the X in March! Just have your assistant whom you've 'groomed' replace you now. At least the players will play hard for him!
Is it really Housley's fault there is a lack of allegiance from local kids to stay in Stillville?Sunshine wrote:First time poster, sorry to go negative right off the bat.....Please do your High School and association a favor Mr Housley and resign! Yes. The Stillwater youth hockey association should require "allegiance" to Stillwater High School. No one should ever be allowed to leave. Perhaps they could build a wall. That new bridge over the St. Croix is a bad idea. It would be a means of escape. The USSR had such requirements and they had pretty darn good hockey teams.
Perhaps Phil Housley and Tim Sager should switch positions, then both White Bear Lake and Stillwater will get the new coaches their fans so badly desire.
