Who comes out on top to battle thief river falls in the section 8A championship? Also, between the team you pick to play TRF in the final, who will be the 8A champs?

I like Warroad to make it to the final, but I think TRF goes to St. Paul.

I agree,I think warroad has oddly been just a little too quiet this season, and I think they will come strong Monday night. Warroad also has home ice advantage with the sections in warroad this year. Either way I think it will be an awesome championship game!

Although,I did just hear this morning that east grand forks got an injured player back in the lineup,so that could be a factor in tonight's game. Also,in the finals if east grand forks makes it there.

PuckU126; any idea who is back from injury for EGF? I also heard that warroad has a couple guys back from injury as well, any ideas if they are KEY players for either team?(serious answer please) hahaha

Seriously, I can't even name a player on EGF's team.

EGF is one of a few underdogs I choose to cheer for this time of the year.

Regardless, I expect a good showing of classic Northern hockey out of TRF, EGF and Warroad.

Best of luck to your Prowlers, Prowler. Hopefully they can make another solid statement in St. Paul this year.

Warroad has gotten 3 kids back that have all been injured since late Dec. early Jan. They are as healthy as they have been for some time and at the right time. Don't be surprised if they win tonite and a section final in their building, nobody in their right mind wants that. Look out the Warriors could be the spoiler here.

My guess would be freshmen Dixon Bowen. He did not play in the quarterfinals against Red Lake Falls and EGFs coach said they were only missing 1 player and I believe Bowen is a pretty significant player who may have played on the top line with Lawdermilt earlier in the year.

I see MSBN will be carrying this game. Anyone know if it is video or just audio?

Interesting fact after this game:

Since the MSHSL split to the Class A and Class AA format in 1993-1994, this is only the 3rd time Warroad has not appeared in the section 8A championship game and the first time since the 2000-2001 season where they lost in the quarterfinals.

Should be a good game between TRF and EGF on Thursday, would be nice to see EGF make a trip back there, but think how good they could be if they still had Ausmus?
