Are the Shattuck games official MSHSL games? Should the stats be included if they're not?

Soft goals? One open netter, otherwise it was two power snipes behind a screen and two garbage-goals from crease melees.

AJ had a nice game on a lopsided SOG total.

We know you love BSM's backup, minnscout. Give it a rest and instead of rooting against one player, why not root for the team?

Nice minnscout. In all fairness, you should add a disclaimer that the BSM goalie doesn't take lessons from you or Impact when you post. Imagine these forums if Stauber, Sikich, Carroll, Christopher, Vezina/Johnson, or any of the other goalie guys were on here promoting their students.

Watched a couple SSM games recently. It looked like about half the roster was different for the Sunday game vs. Saturday game. Huge difference between the two different lineups and makes me wonder who they suit up for the MN HS team games.

Are you sure you are seeing the same team each time? I go to see the three top prospect producing teams (Prep, U-16 and Bantam Tier 1) a couple of times every year and there is rarely any variation from the rosters on their web site.

I think I see what you are talking about. Did you see the Edge School from Calgary twice? According to the Shattuck site, the Edge school lost to the Shattuck Prep team on Saturday (5-1 I think) and tied the Shattuck Midget AAA team on Sunday.

I was at the game and saw the goals, the 1st goal was a shot under the bar from above the circle, good shot but one that goalie would like to have back if he stayed on his feet. The 2nd goal was a slow wrist shot from the point, screen or not goalie would like to have it back. 3rd goal was a scamble in front of net, tough to see what happened. The final goal was a 2 on 1 that deflected off Glover. It was not that goalie played a bad game it was more the timing of the goals. Jecha played real well in the 3rd, made some good saves throughout the game.

Shattuck prep team roster never varies. Once team is picked that's it. Sometimes when teams travel to play at Shattuck they bring more than 1 team and play the "other" SHattuck teams. THis is probably what happened with Calgary Edge teams. Shattuck PREP only plays these other teams "top" teams. Not saying that their lower teams don't play lower branches (say J.v. for a MSHL game). I know Shattuck has brought along a younger group of guys to play a so-called JV game when they travel to MSHL games. Shattucks bench may have been a bit "short" last night but that would be the only
variation in roster. Seeing as though they have only lost 4 games out of 40 this year, and that was to 2 of which were to U-17 international teams, and 1 game against an Elite league team,(which was still during Shattucks try-out phases), I would argue that they are pretty happy with the roster as listed for PREP team!! Dont' mess with success,I would say.

SSM played the same Calgary Edge School both Saturday & Sunday last weekend. I watched both -- the Calgary school's lineup was the same both days. On Sunday, there were SSM players playing who did not play on Saturday. Iceburg's probably correct in that some kids from a lower level SSM were pulled up to play, but some SSM skaters played both Saturday & Sunday. The Saturday game was not competitive, would make perfect sense to give some others a chance via a blended roster of regulars & other kids for the Sunday game.

Yes. The prep team played the same Calgary team both saturday and sunday, but the midget shattuck team did not play the same Calgary team that the prep team played...Different calgary team.
I will say one more time, the prep team at shattuck DOES NOT pull up anyone from any other team in their system, ever! Tom ward might sit some guys out for whatever reason ( illness, injury, school work etc..) but then we play
with the original guys picked. No up and down.

Not to beat this into the ground, but just for clarification. Both the Shattuck and the Edge School sites have the Edge School Prep team playing Shattuck's Prep team Friday night and Saturday afternoon (5-1 and 8-0 Shattuck wins) and then playing Shattuck's Midget AAA team on Sunday morning (a 7-7 tie).

Probably the prep team has no age restrictions -- and allows quality 15 and 16 year olds to play whereas the tier 1 Midget and Bantam teams do restrict ages, according to USAHockey rules?

There's much (intentional?) mystery around SSM. Like how did they ever sneak past the cozy bed of MSHSL + Minnesota Hockey???? One gets the impression that they'd rather not be scrutinized too closely by Minnesota hockey folks.

They didn't "sneak by." They wanted to play more games than are allowed by the MSHSL, so they left.
