One score before I head out for the day:

Breck 7, Blake 3
Kate Schipper scores 4 goals to lead the Mustangs over the Bears in what is always a big rivalry game.

Everybody picks up a single point, so no ground gained or lost in our contest...

Four of six scores (including Breck/Blake) from today are now posted as final:

Eden Prairie 2, Edina 2
The story of this game, without a doubt, was McKenzie Johnson, Eden Prairie’s netminder. McKenzie stopped 63 of 65 of Edina’s shots to secure a 2-2 tie. The only goals the Hornets managed to get by her were scored by Taylor Williamson, Edina’s top goal producer so far this season.

A tie, but an upset according to our expert panel. No points were awarded in this one.

Minnetonka 5, Hopkins 1
Laura Bowman’s “pure” hat trick propelled the Skippers to a 5-1 Lake Conference win over the Royals. Minnetonka’s goaltender Sydney Rossman stopped 24 of 25 shots for the win.

Everybody predicted a Minnetonka win, and two - hockeyfan87 and woogieboogiewoogie – got the 5-1 score right and pick up the bonus point.

Maple Grove 1, Andover 0
Summer Thibodeau scored the only goal of the game, an unassisted short-handed tally, at 16:14 of the second period to give the Crimson a 1-0 upset victory over the Huskies. For the game, Maple Grove outshot Andover by a surprising 31-9 margin.

Only Otter predicted Maple Grove would win, gaining a point on the rest of the field…

I hope to have a final update, including the leaderboard, posted yet this evening...if not look for it Sunday morning.

One more score before I retire on this 2012 Hockey Day in Minnesota:

Eagan 3, Lakeville South 1
Megan Wolfe scored two goals and added an assist and Emma May stopped 15 of 16 shots to lead the Wildcats over the Cougars.

A bit of an upset as just 5 of 15 (including KRACH) had Eagan winning. All of these five came very close to getting the score, but there were no bonus points awarded in this one.

We still have one game outstanding, Mounds View vs. White Bear Lake. Once the result of this game is posted, I will update the leaderboard to put a wrap on Week 10.

Look for Week 11 to be posted shortly thereafter.

Final score has been posted on the Hub:

Mounds View 2, White Bear Lake 2 (OT Tie)
The Bears' Hayley Hill scored at 0:57 of the 3rd period to tie the game at 2-2, and that's how it ended. Hill also assisted on White Bear Lake's first goal, scored by Taylor Thompson in the second period. Lauren Klein and Lindsey Wolter scored for the Mustangs.

With this game now in the books we can now put a wrap on Week 10. Congratulations are in order for mnhockey3535 and ayhfan who finish tied for 1st place with 12 points apiece. Here is the final leaderboard:

MNHockeyFan - 10
woogieboogiewoogie - 10

8. D16Dad - 9
