High School League makes major changes to hitting rules

Post by SWPrez »

Will MN Hockey follow?

Jack's Pledge (www.jackspledge.com) launched on Thursday and the Jablonski's - with Lou Nanne - had a press conference Thursday afternoon to push for changes.

The high school league responded yesterday turning Boarding, Checking from Behind, and head checks into five minute majors. A good move and USA MN Hockey should follow.

Jack's Pledge has sent out 7,500 helmet stickers in the last two days and Division 1 teams - UMD and UNO have taken the pledge as well as four D III teams. Approximately 15 hockey associations have taken the Pledge in the last 48 hours.

If your association is on board with changing the game, have them register with us, players take the pledge, and we will get them free helmet stickers.
