Any summer teams practicing yet?
I have heard the younger machine teams are practicing together already. Anyone else getting an early start to the 2012 season?

The only ones I heard of were the 2002 and 2003 teams. Not sure if any of those kids would make the Edina Squirt A team.

No 02 Machine on the Edina Squirt A, but two 02 Blades.

I would bet they have higher revenue from the AAA teams for that time than when they rent it to others (even at the highest rental rates around).scrapiron wrote:I dont think that is the case, Edina will buy every hour MN Made will sell them during the winter. So the ice would be sold anyway. I think they just want to work on the skills so that the teams are better come spring.

MG
Miracle Gold is skating 50-70 hours depending on the team at 02, 03, 04! Yes teams get additional skates during winter season and leading up to the real hockey season at no additional charge depending on team!

yes. does MN made charge? I would guess yes..MrBoDangles wrote:I would guess The Gold. They cater to the kids/families.HockeyDad41 wrote:What team does he play for? This is nuts! wrote:Does MN Made charge their AAA teams for the ice in the Winter?
My son skates on a AAA team and skates 10-20 hrs in the winter and is not charged for the ice...
I am not sure what the point is here?
Is one club good because they build in winter ice cost into the summer fee?
If the Machine families and coaches practice over the winter the reason could be as simple as they want to improve.
It is no secret that MN Made is a business. If there is no profit there is no rink. None of us go to work and work for free. if Machine 02 and 03 parents think that it is not worth their time and money they can go and tryout for the Gold.
I do know that on the 02 Machine there are a couple of players from the Super Rink area that make the drive and play at the Made. They must feel it is worth it.
If the Super rink wants to and can afford to give away ice that is great!

Wasn't ripping the Mn Made for charging for ice. I understand. Not even ripping the program. Just wondering what they charge if if anything for their winter ice, or if we are just lucky to get it for free. There are 8 rinks at the super rink.. They give the unsold ice to the kids. If they chraged the kids probably wouldnt show.scrapiron wrote:I am not sure what the point is here?
