Sweet. If my kid makes the team do I get a loaner vehicle for the duration of the season?Deep Breath wrote:Do poeple think the word Torspo is just a clever name that was pulled out of thin air, or do they realize that it is an equipment manufacturer based in Blaine that outfitted the players with gloves, bags and jerseys in order to get it's name out there a little bit

Just to p'off thepuckstopshere i thought we could revist Chandler23's post. I a don't think he really got his answer.
Some programs stick to their original roster, others do not. I do know, for example, the 02 Blades had changed up their roster from the start. I believe the Machine kept their roster pretty much unchanged. I guess, it is important for the Blades and the Machine to have successful seasons and if changes are needed in the middle of the season then they will do whats necessary.
Happy New Year everyone!!
Oh, and no I don't have my sons College picked out puck, i just love hockey as does my son! Might as well enjoy it while we can!! Cheers!

AAA has definitely evolved into different classes.
Criticize the blades and machine if you want, but at least they deliver some development for the dollar spent. I think the brick blades thing gets a little nuts but even that isn't the wholesale ripoff that some of these programs have become.
Northland Group was, I thought, bringing hockey to the masses for a reasonable price, but with the focus being on recruiting teams to play in their own tournaments and "the hottest" sublimated jersey around, it's easy to see they are only interested in lining their pockets.
Legacy has joined the ranks of the rank, with their academy style and blatant revolving door tournament rosters. I puke a little every time I see one of their references to themselves as an "elite" program. I guess if taking players others have developed and trotting them out is elite they fit the bill.
There are some decent programs out there, but it seems they are getting harder to find.
Don't even get me started on the summer tournaments. I read one $1600+ tournament where if they find out you are not staying in the "approved" read "kickback" hotels, they boot you out of the tournament and you get no refund. $1600+ for a 4 game guarantee? Are you kidding me?
Time to check out FHIT.
