But remember the Shattuck U16 team has 13 - '96 aged players on the roster with 3 of them being 9th graders....

I doubt the Blades have any 96's. They are 95's that are in 11th grade as of now I suspect...(last time I saw that rooster online anyways, which was a few weeks back)

But nice to see a Minnesota group win, no doubt...Lets not get too exclamation pointy excited.

I am sure that the roster is fairly fluid given all of the fall commitments these kids have. I had the opportunity to see the team once and on that occasion it was more than 50% 96s, with at least one 9th grader, and it was still a very good team.

Is this the same group of kids that won the Young Guns Tourney in Philly this Spring? I had a chance to watch that squad...very impressive. I was thinking they would lose most of the 95 kids to Elite D.

This team has four 95's and 11 96's. Four of the 96 birth year players are ninth graders.

Why was this moved to youth hockey? These are high school aged kids playing other high school aged kids from, believe it or not, other high schools. Last time I checked, SSM was a school not a youth organization.

Keep in mind that Shattucks top 95's are on the Prep team or AAA Midgets not on the U-16.

Blades just tied HC Russia 2-2 earlier this morning. Don't know anything about how the game went, just following their results here.

I think they need another win today to advance.

Certainly a performance to be proud of. If I'm not mistaken, I believe they were the only Minnesota team in the tournament. I'm glad these kids were able to represent their state.

How cool is it that they got to play the Russians too?!

How many other Minnesota skaters/teams were considered for this event sponsered by....? Before considering being "legit", what were the individual final stats for the participants?...can't seem to find this posted. The Russians said nice job and keep up the good work.

What does sponser or final stats of participants have to do with this being "legit" or the team doing very well ?

If claims are made on a public forum of team legitimacy, than open up the books for all to see.
