Sibley Bantams

Post by 20custom »

11 approved waivers and a potential of 9 more before tonight's first try-out?
And yes they areSTA kids. This is the most quiet association take-over ever..
Just me or is this a little out of whack?

Sounds like $20,000, minimum, for the Sibley Association which I'm sure they can use. Hopefully some of the Sibley boys make the A team and some of the STA players are B-1. Interesting if they're leaving strong youth association teams to join a weaker one but the 9th graders in strong associations will likely play at home. I wonder how many 8th graders (1st years) and how many 9th graders (2nd years). It will raise the level of competition and also help recruiting in the Sibley neighborhood as both bantam teams will be improved. It also forces the Sibley PeeWees to work hard if they want to make the team next year. The Cadets are now the Generals.

Wave of the future, frankly I like it for the HS programs involved.
Blake => Hopkins
BSM => Mpls Storm
Angels => Richfield

Just the one's I've heard rumblings about ...

And yes, it may/will suck for the kids that grew up in the system and will be attending the local public HS, but great for the kids waivering into the system to play with their potential private HS teammates.

... enter private vs. public debate ...

So what happened to the rule that you cannot play "A" level if you changed schools but did not move?

Could be sticky for some of them. The Participation rules start on page 25 of the handbook.
